私は遊び心のあるインタラクションを探求しています。

人の好みに合わせただけでなく、ものならではの性質や知覚のされ方に焦点を当てています。

シンプルで、普遍的で、そして楽しいように。

I explore playful interactions.

My design focuses on the nature of materials and how we perceive objects—not just designing for people, but for things themselves.

Simple, universal, and joyful.

デザインに対する考え

What I think about design
I completed my studies at the Cognitive Design Laboratory in the Department of Integrated Design at Tama Art University.

My research focuses on interaction and media that can be experienced physically through touch. As an undergraduate, I was particularly interested in the ways playfulness and enjoyment emerge from bodily engagement. Currently, I use flip-books as my primary output format to explore visual and interactive experiences in print and other tangible media.
Rather than designing solely around people’s preferences, I place importance on designing for objects and environments—that is, finding forms that suit the inherent qualities of a given material or
context. For this reason, I focus on the properties of materials themselves and on the mechanisms through which people perceive objects. At the same time, I see this as another way of designing for people.

I pursue simple and universal design. My ideal is to create works that deliver moments of surprise and
delight—the kind of “!” experience that resonates with anyone. To achieve this, I study the mechanisms of human decision-making and behavioral change, and when appropriate, I integrate principles of cognitive science into my design process

I believe that experiences of joy can be found in everyday life, beyond differences of language, age, or knowledge. No matter the medium, my goal is to create works with high interactivity that appropriately incorporate cognitive principles, so that they can be enjoyed universally.
